Filias Wins 2 National Accounts

boston—Filias Advertising re-cently added a pair of accounts: Kahles Optik North America and Advanced Concrete Technologies.

The two companies want to increase brand recognition in the North American market, according to the agency. The account wins are worth an estimated $500,000-1 million combined, and both clients are looking for a mix of image and product messages from Filias.

“[The wins] give us an opportunity to brand nationally. They are [both] premium brands,” said Greg Filias, president of the Portsmouth, N.H., shop. “It’s exciting because they’re in such different categories.”

Advanced, a Portsmouth-based manufacturer of concrete-producing equipment, chose Filias to create a new corporate identity and a positioning platform for its heavy machinery. The agency came up with a new slogan, “We add profitability to the mix,” and a print campaign, which recently began appearing in trade publications. The company is a division of Wiggert + Co./Wurschum.

Filias is developing an introducing campaign for Kahles, a European producer of binoculars and rifle scopes. The shop will target birding and shooting enthusiasts in the U.S. with a new market positioning, print ads and a product catalog.

The company’s American affiliate in Cranston, R.I., selected Filias based on its previous category experience with Sigarms, a rifle maker located in Exeter, N.H.

New work is scheduled to break early next year. “See the advantage” is the tagline Filias has conceived for the optics supplier.

Federal Savings Bank in Dover, N.H., Reid & Co. of Portsmouth and Spencer Press in Wells, Maine, are among Filias’ other clients.
