Domino's Is Piloting Driverless Pizza Delivery in Houston

Domino’s delivery is going driverless in Houston.

The pizza chain is partnering with self-driving delivery company Nuro on a pilot program that will allow customers to have their pizzas shipped by a robot from Domino’s Woodland Heights location within certain hours.

Domino’s customers can choose whether or not they want their delivery carried out by one of Nuro’s R2 driverless vehicles, in which case they will receive a unique pin code via text that will allow them to open the futuristic-looking compartment to retrieve their pies.

The program was first announced in 2019 and has no specified end date.
