Daniel Craig Pours a Heineken ... and That's the Ad

Heineken has been a partner of the James Bond franchise since 1997

A movie star is only really famous when they can appear in an advert alongside a product and that is the whole idea. With his final movie as James Bond finally set for release following multiple delays over the last two years, Daniel Craig does just that for Heineken, while alluding to the protracted release.

The “Worth The Wait” spot was released just weeks before No Time To Die and shows Craig pouring his beer before looking to the camera and stating “Well worth the wait”. The advert also promoted the film’s new release date of September 30 in Europe, just over a week ahead of the U.S. on October 8. It has been delayed multiple times due to the closure of cinemas around the world as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Bram Westenbrink, global head of Heineken’s brand, highlighted the partnership between the beer and James Bond over the last 24 years.

“Like all Bond fans, we also can’t wait for No Time To Die to hit cinemas. That said, we believe some things really are worth waiting for. And now we can prove it. Whether it’s an ice-cold Heineken or an action-packed blockbuster—the best things truly do come to those who wait,” he said in a statement.

No Time to Die is the 25th James Bond movie, however it is the eighth to be supported by Heineken, which began with Tomorrow Never Dies, the second film featuring Craig’s predecessor Pierce Brosnan in the tuxedo. Subsequently, Heineken has been an ever-present advertiser during Craig’s tenure.

Other advertisers attached to the series have released ads in recent weeks that also tie in with the release of No Time To Die, including DHL and Smirnoff.
