Condor Swoops Up National Guard Business

ATLANTA — Dark horse Condor Interactive Communications has won the interactive portion the U.S. Army’s National Guard Bureauis advertising account.The Baltimore shop, known primarily for its e-commerce and data management skills, defeated four undisclosed contenders, to win an account estimated to be worth up to $50 million in billings over the next five years.The “traditional advertising” portion of the account, one of six rfps originally sent out by the army, will be decided in January, sources said.Among the contenders for that portion: WestWayne Atlanta and incumbent Laughlin Marinaccio & Owens in Arlington, Va. Condor will be charged with implementing an online campaign to drive enlistment and retention numbers in all fifty states and four U.S. territories. The shop currently holds contracts with the Veterans Health Administration, the Department of Justice and NASA.
