Citi Appoints Elyse Lesley CMO of US Consumer Banking

The marketing veteran has been with the financial services firm for 10 years

To further its goal of building a digital-first and data-oriented organization, Citi has named Elyse Lesley chief marketing officer for its U.S. consumer banking division.

In the role, which she has held on an interim basis since September, Lesley will report to U.S. consumer banking CEO Gonzalo Luchetti as well as Citi’s chief marketing officer.

She will also continue to lead Citi’s U.S. consumer partnerships and franchise development team.

“In her 10 years on our team, Elyse has built an impressive record of innovative, client-centered and colleague-focused leadership,” Luchetti said in a memo viewed by Adweek.
