BOSTON Circuit City has narrowed the review for its public relations account to four finalists, the consumer electronics chain confirmed.

The contenders include a pair of Washington, D.C., agencies, Omnicom Group’s Fleishman-Hillard and WPP Group’s Ogilvy PR; Carter Ryley Thomas in Richmond, Va.; and one New York agency, Stanton Crenshaw Communications, the client said. Presentations will be held later this month.

The budget has been pegged at $1 million, according to sources. Incumbent Weber Shandwick, an Interpublic Group shop, did not participate in the review, which is being handled internally by the Richmond-based client.
