Beam Suntory Accelerates 'Premiumization' Drive With Jerry Daykin Joining to Lead Global Media

Premium spirits producer Beam Suntory, which owns brands such as Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark, Courvoisier and Knob Creek, has named Jerry Daykin as its vp of global media.

Joining from GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare where he was senior media director EMEA, Daykin returns to the world of alcohol, having also previously worked in a senior media role within Diageo for two years.

At Beam Suntory, he will be tasked with advancing the transformation of the business’ media strategy which will drive growth through a “premiumization journey” for the company’s brands globally.
