BOSTON ESPN has confirmed its selection of Havas’ Arnold to handle the introduction of its ESPN Mobile wireless sports service.

Sources pegged the ad budget at approximately $30 million. ESPN representative Ashley Swadel said spending will be “less,” but she declined to disclose billings. A decision in the review had been expected this week [Adweek Online, March 3].

ESPN in Bristol, Conn., chose Arnold “after a four-month review involving a select list of other creative and full-service agencies,” said Swadel.
