AQuantive Names Wisehart CFO

NEW YORK AQuantive said Wayne Wisehart would take over as its new chief financial officer.

Wisehart, 60, will replace Michael Vernon beginning March 27. Vernon announced his intention to leave the Seattle digital advertising company in November, following more than five years at aQuantive.

Wisehart comes to aQuantive from Western Wireless, a cellular company that Alltel bought in 2005. He was CFO at Western from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, he was CFO at Innerhost, a Web-hosting company. Wisehart’s earlier career includes executive roles at wireless companies, including 15 years as president and CEO of Price Communications Wireless.

Under Vernon, aQuantive weathered the dot-com bust and emerged in strong financial shape, with particular success at improving the profitability of Razorfish following its acquisition in June 2004. In 2005, aQuantive reported $11.6 million of net income on $87.5 million in revenue.

“Mike leave aQuantive in great condition,” CEO Brian McAndrews said in a statement. “Over the last five years, he has played a key role in shaping our business and driving fiscal responsibility and profitability.”
