CHICAGO Interpublic Group’s Foote Cone & Belding here has picked up advertising duties for Fellowes, which makes shredders and other office products.

FCB plans to launch a full campaign including TV, print and in-store work this October in the U.S., the agency said. The campaign is expected to then roll out in Canada, Japan and the United Kingdom.

The Itasca, Ill.-based company, which is privately held, spent $6 million on measured media last year but almost $4 million through the first quarter of 2005, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

The account was formerly with JM Glass & Associates in Bannockburn, Ill. FCB won the account in a review in which Havas’ Euro RSCG Chicago was a finalist, the agency said.

“Fellowes has significant untapped potential in the states and abroad,” said Jude Rake, president and chief operating officer of Fellowes, in a statement.

In addition to paper shredders, Fellowes markets desktop accessories, record storage equipment and binding and laminating equipment.
