LOS ANGELES 21st Century Insurance has awarded the creative portion of its $25 million account to Interpublic Group’s Dailey & Associates, a client representative confirmed.

The Woodland Hills, Calif.-based client conducted a review that originally included Dentsu’s Colby & Partners, Santa Monica, Calif.; partially Hokuhodo-owned Mendelsohn Zien, Los Angeles; and independent RPA, Santa Monica.

The incumbent agency, Glyphix, Woodland Hills, did not participate. Media, handled by DCA Advertising, Santa Monica, was not in play.

Neither Colby nor RPA would comment. A rep for Mendelsohn Zien said today that after lengthy discussion with the client, the agency withdrew from the final phase of the review at the end of October.

Last year, 21st Century spent $25 million on advertising and $14 million through June 2004, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
