DALLAS Saunders-Ream Advertising and Marketing has been named lead agency for Teletrac.

The agency said it was awarded the advertising business of the Garden Grove, Calif.-based client without a review. Teletrac specializes in technology that enables companies to track the locations of their vehicles via the Internet.

Saunders-Ream vice president and account supervisor Bill Ritzhaupt attributed the win to the agency’s experience working with franchise companies like Mr. Rooter, a plumbing company, and Aire Serv Heating and Air Conditioning. On-site service companies are a key market of Teletrac, he said.

Ritzhaupt also said the shop has experience working with clients that provide mobile communications for trucking fleets like the Tripmaster Corp.

The Dallas agency will be responsible for the client’s marketing communications materials, including collateral, trade press advertising, Web site development and direct response. “Our goal is to give them a new image and look, starting with new sales collateral material,” Ritzhaupt said.

Billings are undisclosed. The client previously used a public relations firm, Fusion Public Relations in Los Angeles, but did not have an ad agency. Saunders-Ream will now handle public relations responsibilities as well.
