Now that the dust is settling on the Brangelina photo photo composite scandal and a new week’s worth of rumour and innuendo must be addressed, the New York Post‘s Keith Kelly asks, was it worth it? Of course! We say the issue of photographic authenticity in our sneakily obtained adulterous photos is seriously important for everyo– oh, my God, Eva Longoria made People’s Most Beautiful and Teri Hatcher didn’t? Quel scandale!
Take my schadenfreude, please! Not surprisingly, the New York Daily News is all agloat about the New York Post‘s failed user registration program. It’s all well and good to snicker, Daily News – but we respectfully point out that your blogginess is now right back where it was last week.
Three Women, Ten Kids, and a Nation walk into a bar… Congratulations to NY Times writer Jason DeParle, the recipient of the 2005 New York Public Library Helen Berstein Book Award for Excellence in Journalism! DeParle’s book, “American Dream: Three Women, Ten Kids, and a Nation’s Drive to End Welfare,” beat out four other finalists, including “Chain of Command: The Road from 9/11 to Abu Ghraib” by the New Yorker‘s Seymour Hersh. Jason also wins $15,000! And, because we’re feeling generous, a Fishy. Congratulations, Jason!
