NEW YORK –180/TBWA’s latest Adidas ad–the first to come from the TBWA\Chiat\Day half of the collaboration between the San Francisco agency and 180 in Amsterdam–features what seems to be an invisible runner. Perceivable only by his Adidas a3 Cushion shoes, the jogger maneuvers through the streets of Mexico City accompanied by mambo rhythms. But the shoes then go under a truck and split apart to go around a man with a briefcase. As a shopkeeper sweeps one of the sneakers in to a gutter, the mystery is revealed: two breathless slugs pop out of the shoes, exchange looks and continue their run.
