Amid the patriotism that has blossomed in recent weeks, a branch of the American Civil Liberties Union is eager to remind Americans of something else they have: “The freedom to differ.”

The Washington state ACLU has called on Cole & Weber/Red Cell in Seattle for an ad campaign that is being made available to other branches of the organization.

Although the pro-bono effort was conceptualized before Sept. 11, the agency and client said an additional ad about maintaining civil liberties in today’s world is being considered.
