CHICAGO–Publicis Groupe reported revenue of $1 billion for the first half of 2001. That’s an increase of 67 percent from the same period a year ago, due largely to the acquisitions of Saatchi & Saatchi and Nelson Communications. Organic revenue growth was 5.5 percent.

The Paris-based holding company’s net income for the half-year was $79 million, up 57 percent from the same period last year.
