Kelliher Samets Volk has added the consolidated advertising account, with estimated billings of $10 million, of Rural Cellular, said Barbara Ostrander, marketing communications manager for Rural Cellular.

Burlington, Vt.-based KSV — which had already handled some of the account — was selected after a shootout among among roster shops, including Meyocks & Priebe, Des Moines, Iowa; Mandala, Bend, Ore.; Lewis Communications, Mobile, Ala.; and Garrand & Co., Lewiston, Maine, Ostrander said.

KSV takes over all promotional and advertising activities for Rural Cellular, which is based in Alexandria, Minn., and provides cellular, paging, long distance and PCS services in 14 states in the Midwest, Northeast, South and Northwest.
