Hewlett-Packard has picked a select group of interactive agencies to compete for its estimated $2 million Hardcopy Products Group interactive business.
The five semifinalists, which emerged from an original group of 25, are Agency.com, New York and San Francisco; Strategic Interactive Group, Boston and San Francisco; and San Francisco shops Adjacency, Novo-Ironlight and US Web/Ikonic, according to Mike Agate, president of Select Resources International, the Los Angeles consultancy conducting the review. Previous advertising has been handled by various vendors on a project basis, Agate said.
“[Hewlett-Packard] needs to find a single agency of record to unify and bring a cohesive strategic platform to the job,” Agate said.
