Half of Americans Have Access To Mobile Internet: Pew
Tablet and smartphone ownership is up in the United States. According to a new report from Pew Research Center’s Project for Excellence in Journalism in collaboration with The Economist Group, 22 percent of U.S. adults own some kind of tablet computer, which is double the number of people who owned one a year ago.
The study, which included interviews with 9,513 adults conducted from June 29 to August 8, also found that smartphone ownership is up nine points this year, from 35% to 44%.
