Lee Child and Suzanne Collins Join the Million Kindle eBook Club

Amazon announced today that it is adding 2 new jewels to its Kindle crown. Suzanne Collins and Lee Child are the fifth and sixth authors to sell over one million Kindle books, making them the latest members of the “Kindle Million Club.”

Suzanne Collins, author of “The Underland Chronicles” and “The Hunger Games” trilogy, has also sold over 1 million eBooks on the Kindle. Her popularity should come as no surprise; her books are regularly found in Overdrive’s top ten lists for most popular library audiobooks.

Lee Child is the author of the bestselling Jack Reacher thrillers. His 16 novels have been nominated for 10 awards, and he has won both the Anthony and the Barry awards for Best First Mystery, the Barry and the Nero awards for Best Novel, and the Thumping Good Read Award (for his second Novel, Die Trying). All of his books have also been optioned for major motion pictures.

“I started writing at the same time Amazon first went live, back in 1995, and it has been a thrill to move forward together through the years and through the generations of new technology,” said Lee Child. “I’m really delighted to have hit this current milestone, and I look forward to many more together.”
