Tablets Expected To Reign At CES

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) kicks off this week and we expect to see a lot of new tablets being announced at the show.

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is giving the keynote at the event, where he is expected to introduce new software for tablet computers. HP is expected to show off a new tablet at the show. And Toshiba has already announced their new tablet computer, called the Android Honeycomb, in advance of CES.

Wwery.com has more: “The 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) tablet runs Android 2.4 Honeycomb, features a 2MP front-facing and 5MP rear-facing cameras, NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor, USB, HDMI and mini-USB ports, and an SD card slot.”

With RIM’s PlayBook tablet (pictured above) set to hit this quarter and rumors circulating about an iPad 2, it is already beginning to sound like the year of the tablet.
