eReader Owners Read More Newspapers
Adults that live in “EReader Households,” defined as households in which one or more adults own or plan to buy an eReader, are 11% more likely to read newspapers in print or online according to a new report from Scarborough Research.
The research found that 78% of adults that live in eReader households read a newspaper in print or online during the past week. In addition, 41% of adults in “EReader Households” visited a newspaper website during the past month, compared to 27% of total adults.
EReader owners are 48% more likely than all consumers nationally to have visited a newspaper website over the past month.
