Barnes & Noble's New Nook App Debuts At Top Of iPhone Book Apps

Barnes & Noble’s new Nook app tops the iPhone’s Top free apps in the books category, and its former bookstore app rounds out the Top 10 list. The Nook app is followed by Apple’s own iBooks app at No. 2 and Chegg Inc’s textbook rental app at No. 3.
Amazon’s Kindle app is ranking at No. 4, followed by the Marvel Comics app at No. 5 and the Scott Pilgrim app at No. 6. The Scott Pilgrim just launched last week in time with the movie release of the comic book.
Rounding out the Top 10 free eBook apps on the iPhone is Amazon’s Audible app for audio books at No. 7. This is followed by Spreadsong’s 23,469 classics to go, a library of free eBooks in one app, at No. 8. Lexcycle’s Stanza ranks at No. 9 and Barnes & Noble’s bookstore app comes in at No. 10.
