At this point, several notable executives, including its co-founder/president, have left the firm. But, the story of the company of development superstars with $41 million of funding for an app that has disappeared from from the app radar apparently had some appeal for some people at Google according to TechCrunch.

The offer was made before the app launched and flopped. Still, you have to wonder what Google saw that made them offer five times the considearable investment the company had already raised.
