Voice-based social platform Parlor.fm is singing a happy tune after receiving $500,000 in funding for its impending launch from investment group ALM UNLTD, valuing it at $5 million.
Parlor.fm plans to launch during TechCrunch Disrupt in New York Monday. Its chat feature allows users with similar interests to chat one-on-one, with the option of pressing the # key to choose another user. Parlor.fm chat logs will also be available for users to browse so they can follow up on previous conversations.
