Midterm Elections Boost CNN Digital in November
CNN Digital announced strong November results for CNNPolitics.com and The Political Ticker, as well as significant traffic gains for other CNN.com blogs.
According to data from Omniture SiteCatalyst, CNNPolitics.com totaled 98 million page views in November, up 114 percent compared with October and up 98 percent versus November 2009. And blog The Political Ticker collected 28 million page views for the month, up 14 percent versus the previous month and 44 percent compared with the year-earlier period.
Omniture SiteCatalyst also found that overall traffic to the CNN.com Blog Network averaged 3.1 million page views per day in November, totaling 94 million for the month, with highlights including AMFix up 72 percent compared with October and 29 percent versus November 2009; John King, USA up 72 percent and 29 percent, respectively; Cafferty File (70 percent/20 percent); Morning Express with Robin Meade (15 percent/more than 700 percent); and Nancy Grace (up 7 percent versus October).
CNN.com posted its highest traffic total on Election Day, registering 85 million page views, up 61 percent compared with the prior-four-week average.
