HTC HD7 Battery Level After a Full Day of Use?

I opened up my Nexus One last Friday night and transplanted the SIM card over to the HTC HD7 running Windows Phone 7. I took the phone through its paces over the weekend. However, it got its first full workday yesterday (Nov. 8). The HD7’s first work day included a two hour meeting where it was my sole note taking tool. Microsoft OneNote served as the note taking tool. The rest of the HD7’s day included email checking (and replies), web browsing, recording a brief 720p HD video, and a couple of quick demos to interested people.

At the end of the working day, it looked like the battery was down to about 20%. You could argue that the battery meter looks closer to 25%. I’m not sure how much longer it would have last had I needed to remain on the move into the evening. After a few days of use, my impression that the HD7’s battery life is a bit better than either the Motorola Droid or the HTC Nexus One. However, its battery life is nowhere near the iPhone 4’s battery life. With similar usage,t he iPhone 4 is usually around 70 to 75%.
