Google’s Android Market is nearly useless for discovering interesting and useful apps. The only alternative has been to follow gadget blogs like this one for reviews and commentary about Android apps. Appolicious’ AndroidApps.com seems like a interesting way to get Android app recommendations and share your own thoughts.
AndroidApps.com lets you login using either Facebook Connect or a Yahoo! account. I took a look at both options and found that the site’s lack of granularity for access to either profile (Facebook or Yahoo!) was too invasive for my comfort. I opted to abandon completing both logins.
Note to Appolicious: Interesting idea. Good luck. I’m not going to go near your site again until you provide more granularity regarding the depth to which you connect to Facebook or Yahoo! profile data.
