TapTapTap Camera+ iPhone App Made $500K, Then Got Pulled from the App Store for Doing a No-No

TapTapTap drew a lot of attention from their August 10 blog post which revealed that their iPhone Camera+ app had a great great first month sales, had an unusually good sales in the second month (most apps fade after the first month), and provided them net sales of $507,221 in the first two months. Unfortunately, this good fortune came to a screeching halt yesterday after TapTapTap twittered about their cool little undocumented feature thet let Camera+ users use the iPhone’s physical volume buttons as a camera shutter button. Apple does not like it when you do something that you are not supposed to do. The result?

My guess is that TapTapTap will remove the feature, submit the updated app, and hopefully continue with their profitable streak.
