Tip: Dealing with App Doubling on the iPad

If you bought an Apple iPad, then there is a 66% chance (if Piper Jaffray’s survey data is valid) that you also own an iPhone. People who own both an iPhone and an iPad may have a bit of a problem sorting out apps from now on.

There are three kinds of apps.

1. Apps designed to run only on the iPad
2. Apps that can adapt to both the iPad and iPhone (iPod touch)
3. Apps that are designed for the iPhone but can run on the iPad in iPhone mode (small screen or pixel doubled)

Apps that fall in category 2 pose no sorting issues.
