CHICAGO – G. Heileman Brewing Co., which sacked its two New York agencies two weeks ago, began sending out questionnaires last week.
According to insiders, Chicago shops Cramer-Krasselt; Ogilvy & Mather; McConnaughy Stein Schmidt Brown; Killian, Wallace; and Eisaman, Johns & Laws along with Minneapolis shops Martin/Williams and Carmichael Lynch are said to be pitching the business. Minneapolis agency Fallon McElligott also was asked to pitch, but declined because it handles some Stroh Brewery business.
Heileman most likely will again split its brands with two agencies. It was using Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer Euro RSCG for its Old Style brands, and Deutsch/Dworin for Colt 45.
