Leo Burnett New York is now leading strategy and creative for Alouette Cheese following a review, according to sources.

The agency beat out Havas and Publicis, the agency, for the account. Alouette previously handled creative in-house.

The Pennsylvania-based brand spent only $10,000 across all media in 2012, according to Kantar. The company is expected to ramp up its spending.

Both Leo Burnett and Alouette, which is owned by Bongrain, could not immediately be reached for comment.

Santa Monica-based Bob Wolf Partners/TPG consulted on the review.

Leo Burnett New York, which opened in May 2011, earlier this year launched its first work for Harris Tweed Hebridges. The agency also contributes to accounts led out of Leo Burnett’s Chicago headquarters, including Allstate and Kellogg’s.
