Snap Restructures Leadership While Announcing 20% Staff Cut

While announcing that it intends to cut up to 20% of its global workforce, Snap has also restructured its international leadership beginning with the hiring of Ronan Harris, who has been Google’s U.K. and Ireland chief for the last five years.

In a note Tuesday, chief executive Evan Spiegel outlined the intention to cut staffing as it sees a lower-than-expected revenue growth rate of 8%, “well below what we were expecting earlier this year,” Spiegel wrote.
