Twitch allows each user to add their phone number to their account. The streaming platform may use this number to contact the user through calls or text messages “with information regarding [their] account.”
Here’s how to add your phone number to your Twitch account from within the Twitch mobile application.

Step 1: Tap your profile picture in the top-left corner of the screen.
Step 2: Tap “Settings.”
