Major League Baseball and Twitter are focusing on the “World” in World Series, teaming up on the #PostcardsFromHomePlate initiative.
It started Oct. 12, when the @MLB Twitter handle issued a call to action to fans in four languages—English, Japanese, Korean and Spanish—for followers to comment on what baseball means to them, alluding to a “surprise” for fans unable to attend the World Series in person. Fans from 54 countries, in every content besides Antarctica, responded with #PostcardsFromHomePlate tweets.
