Facebook introduced a new tool that enables Black-owned businesses to identify themselves as such for easier discovery through the social network’s Businesses Nearby feature.
The social network said that when a business opts for diverse business category labeling, that information will not appear publicly on their page or profile, adding, “This new tool helps amplify Black-owned businesses and make it easier for people to support Black and diverse entrepreneurs, small businesses and local shops that keep our local economies going.
