MLB, ESPN Jointly Sell Premium Web Services

Major League Baseball and ESPN have entered a partnership to jointly sell two of their premium Web services.

Starting on Feb. 17, the two companies will begin offering fans a subscription package which combines MLB.TV Premium, which enables Web users to stream live every regular season MLB game via their computers, and ESPN Insider, ESPN.com’s premium content offering which consists of exclusive text and video content produced by the site’s editorial staff.

The co-branded package is available for $129.95 per year. On their own, MLB.TV Premium runs fans $109.95 for a one-year membership, while ESPN Insider is available for $3.33 per month.

Both companies plan to promote this deal on their respective Web sites, as well as via ads appearing within ESPN The Magazine.
