ThinkProgress, a progressive news site founded in 2005, will be shutting down, The Daily Beast first reported. The site will wind down operations today.
The website was an editorially independent project from the Center for American Progress Action Fund. Ultimately, ThinkProgress will become a place for CAP and CAP Action contributors to publish their work and the website will go “back into CAP’s broader online presence with a focus on analysis of policy, politics, and news events,” said Navin Nayak, executive director of the Center for American Progress Action Fund, in a statement.
