Ad-tech veteran Neal Richter has joined Amazon as director, advertising science for its demand-side platform (DSP). Richter previously spent nearly two years at video ad platform SpotX as the company’s chief scientist.
At Amazon, Richter will help build ad products across all formats, including the fast-growing streaming video and audio spaces. For example, Amazon recently expanded its automated ad buying offerings for its Fire TV inventory.
“We are delighted to have Neal onboard to further accelerate our efforts in delivering strong performance and reach for brands on Amazon DSP,” said Matt Battles, Amazon’s vp of multichannel advertising.
Advertising is one of Amazon’s fastest-growing businesses.
