WTOP Bids Farewell to 'Damn Good' Reporter

WTOP’s Mark Segraves will soon be leaving the building, says an internal memo this afternoon. Segraves is going to work as a reporter for NBC Channel 4.

From WTOP’s Jim Farley:

Mark has been hired by Channel 4 as a reporter.  He joins fellow WTOP Alums including Wendy Rieger, Derrick Ward and  Adam Tuss.

Mark has been WTOP’s Investigative Reporter since 2004.  We hired him from Channel 7 where he was an Off-Air Investigative Reporter and Producer.  Mark has broken some pretty big stories for WTOP.  We took a chance and hired Mark to make him an on-air reporter.  Thanks to guidance from Neal Augenstein and others, he became a damn good one!  WTOP has been good for Mark and Mark has been good for WTOP.

We wish him all the best, even though he’s going to the competition of our News Partner, ABC7.

Mark will do his last Ask the Governor Show tomorrow before heading back to television news.
