VandeHei Exudes Oshkosh Hometown Pride

Politico‘s Executive Editor Jim VandeHei grew up in Oshkosh. This might be why he knows the ins and outs of the town so well and why a story about a race there led Politico‘s website for much of today. VandeHei no doubt has undeniable iron-strength ties to Oshkosh. He not only graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, but he covered sports for the Oshkosh Daily Northwestern. A few noteworthy details about Oshkosh:

1. For those who don’t know, Oshkosh is located in Wisconsin.

2. About 1900, Oshkosh opened Oshkosh Brewing Company, which created the embarrassingly goofball slogan, “By Gosh It’s Good.”

3. Yes, Oshkosh is home to Oshkosh B’Gosh, the overalls. It’s uncertain, but doubtful, that VandeHei owns a pair.

VandeHei had no official comment on Oshkosh.
