The always socially responsible New York Times is concerned that Wired may be turning its readers into drug addicts.
In a fifteen-page feature in the May issue starring Steve Carell the magazine recommends “12 Ways to Super-Charge Your Brain” — included are a number of legal drugs and, gasp(!), some illegal ones, i.e., methamphetamine (Wired’s suggestion: “tap the black market.”).
Bob Cohn, Wired’s managing editor says the feature was “provocative but not irresponsible” and that he doesn’t think Wired “could influence anyone to take meth.”
