Rupert Everett on Hollywood Stars
Rupert Everett flays Hollywood icons:
They’re all tragic parodies of themselves. Al Pacino looks like a mad old freak now. I say, give it a rest, or go and do some serious stuff.
Everett’s recent work includes his role as the headmistress in a revival of the St Trinian’s films, alongside Russell Brand, Mischa Barton and Colin Firth.
More accurately, if no less scathing, he deplores Hollywood’s treatment of gays and women:
Hollywood is a place that pretends it’s very liberal but it’s not remotely.
