ProPublica Hires Two New Reporters and a Blogger

Nonprofit investigative reporting outfit ProPublica today announced that it has hired two reporters and a blogger to bring its total news-staff tally up to 32 full-time journalists.

The two new reporters bring an additional international tinge to ProPublica’s newsroom. Ex-Chicago Tribune South Asia bureau chief Kim Barker joins ProPublica as a reporter after having recently concluded an Edward R. Murrow press fellowship at the Council on Foreign Relations. Also joining the ProPublica team is Los Angeles Times veteran Sebastian Rotella.
