Malibu: Come for the White Sand, Stay for the Wenge Wood
Today marks the re-opening of the Malibu Beach Inn, which we think is the perfect spot for Alissa to unwind after her stellar AIGA conference coverage.
Purchased by David Geffen in 2005 for $29 million (that’s a little over $617,000 per room), the Carbon Beach-front property was redesigned by architect and interior designer Steve Pribyl, founder of Culver City-based dbaArchitects, who also worked on Geffen’s corporate offices.
Pribyl and his team added a porte cochere and remodeled the entire structure, which included the addition of a kitchen and dining area.
