Do you have your own pool on how much Lindsay Lohan’s prison diary will go for? Did you predict Alicia Keys’s bun-in-the-oven status before anyone else? Well, ABC7 Los Angeles is looking to fill multiple online entertainment editor openings at ABC7.com and OnTheRedCarpet.com, which means you’ll be paid to report on all the pop culture dish you’re talking about already.
If hired, you’ll be coordinating with news producers and crews to deliver timely stories and breaking entertainment news. While the bulk of the job involves writing and blogging from the Glendale station, you may be asked to cover red carpet events in person (a dream come true!). However, these are not on-air positions.
If you have impeccable writing and copy-editing skills, are Web-savvy and immersed in film, TV, music and more, this could be the perfect gig for you. Working knowledge of Photoshop, Final Cut Pro and Moveable Type blogs is a major plus, and experience with social networks such as Facebook and Twitter will make you look like a star. There are both full-time and part-time editor spots available, so be specific about your schedule when you apply here.
