Krispy Kreme Applies Chia Pet Technology to Flip-Flops, for Some Reason
We continue to be enamored with Krispy Kreme‘s chipper red and green retro branding, but the glazed carbohydrate purveyors have been struggling in this, the post-Atkins world. What better way to grab back some market share from those coffee-soaked infidels at Dunkin’ Donuts than with, uh, gag footwear? From our brother blog, PRNewser, comes news that Krispy Kreme’s British arm is seeking attention with a deadpan press release touting its grass flip-flops (pictured above), which the company’s PR firm describes as “free-range footwear [that] is currently being given out to London commuters with a view to nationwide distribution.”
