Kids Book Apps Continue To Dominate Paid Book Apps On iPhone
Children’s book apps and free eBook apps continue to dominate the top paid apps in the Books category on the iPhone. As of 1:30 PM ET today, Oceanhouse Media’s Dr. Seuss app Green Eggs and Ham is No. 1, followed by Disney’s Princess Dress-Up app at No. 2, Disney’s Lightning Was Here at No. 4 and Oceanhouse Media’s The Cat In the Hat at No. 5.
Spreadsong’s Free Audiobooks app, which includes about 3,000 audiobooks for $1.99 is No. 6, followed by Spreadsong’s Free eBooks app, which comes loaded with more than 23,000 eBooks for $1.99, at No. 7.
Oceanhouse Media’s Happy Birthday to You! Dr. Seuss is No. 8, followed by Disney’s Mickey’s Spooky Night Puzzle Book at No. 9 and Winnie the Pooh at No. 10.
The No. 3 app is the only one that doesn’t fit with the general theme is a Chinese horror app from a publisher called Kenny’s Group. The app is priced at a hefty $19.99, but since we can’t read Chinese, that’s all we can tell you about it.
