Justin Timberlake Clears the Dance Floor for Prince

With a little help from Max Martin and Shellback.

As news of Prince’s death enshrouded April 21 like a purple storm cloud, Justin Timberlake posted on Instagram that the artist is ‘somewhere within every song I’ve ever written.’ Today, that twain is in digital evidence once again with the release of “Can’t Stop the Feeling.”

Forget “song of the summer,” as some outlets have already anointed the single. That’s nice and all, but “Can’t Stop the Feeling” is arguably much more: a Prince-worthy party anthem that gloriously keeps the Prince party going.
