Justice Remains Out of Reach in Journalists' Murders

Can it be that it’s already been four years since Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl was abducted and brutally murdered in Pakistan? Evidently. And according to a new report from the Committee to Protect Journalists there are still plenty of unanswered questions about the circumstances surrounding Pearl’s death at the hands of Muslim extremists. Even as he sits on death row, Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh — the man convicted as mastermind of the crime — is rumored to be protected by Pakistan’s Intelligence Agency, and has slowed up his execution with a series of appeals.
